Travis: "you talkin' to me?"

"All the animals come out at night - whores, skunk pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies, sick, venal. Someday a real rain will come and wash all this scum off the streets."

Only For The Smart. #2

Once upon a time there was an old man who owned and managed a huge ranch in Texas. He was sick and about to die. He had two sons who were equally good and pious. He was undecided as to whom he should impart the management of the ranch after he dies. So he decided he'd pull a little trick.

He called upon his sons one day and gave them two horses. The ranch was nearby Austin. He told them that the son whose horse will be slower to reach Galveston will get the title. They lingered around for many days not knowing what to do. And then one day they both came to this wise man in a nearby parish. After less than 15 minutes they both came out storming from the wise man's shack and they started racing as fast as they could toward Galveston.

What did the wise man tell them?

Only For The Smart.

The night watchman stormed his manager's office, ignoring the protesting and yelling of the male secretary as he went past him….

W: "sir… please don’t go….please..", trying to catch his breath as he talked…his knees weak, his eyes panicky..

"Easy up Babo, what's wrong with you?" the manager almost smiled at the involuntary rhyme…

W: "you are supposed to fly on a business trip today, right Sir?"

M: "yes Babo, that's correct…..what's wrong?"

W: "the thing is Sir, my visions are never mistaken, I've seen it in my dream last night Sir, your plane is going to crash!!"

M: "Babo… don't be silly, you really think I'd not go just because you had one of your stupid dreams?"

Babo has become fully shaken now. His head nauseating. He looked as he'd pass out soon…

"please Sir….please…"

The manager, who'd never seen such frightened eyes before, has decided that he can call off his trip or reschedule it. The business is not urgent anyway.

"Alright Babo, I am not going…. Just relax. Okay?"

….

The shocking news came later that day, the plane which the manager was supposed to fly has crashed 30 minutes after take-off.

…..

The next day had carried even more eerie news. The delighted Babo has received a letter form the manager terminating his service…

Why was Babo fired?

The Legend Dies.

"United States is a farce controlled by dirty, hook-nosed, circumcised Jew bastards."

"... the US and Israel have been slaughtering the Palestinians for years"

"What goes around comes around even for the United States"

These are not quotes of Osama Bin Laden, this is none but the legendary chess world champion Robert James "Bobby" Fischer, he died yesterday at the age of 64 in his home in Reykjavík. (Iceland)

May his soul rest in peace....

The Yanks Are Here…

"'If you've spotted a stranded-looking American in Dubai this evening……. it'll be our producer Mig…who had a car accident due to the heavy rain…'" Said a radio show host on one of the FM channels today…

It's hard to believe that his attempt at comedy was all that innocent.

Okay, George W. Bush, the president of the United States of America is here in the UAE, he'll be coming to Dubai tomorrow…

Okay….

All major roads in and around Dubai will be closed tomorrow. And since it will become virtually impossible for anyone to travel to work and not get stuck in traffic the whole day with these roads out of service; tomorrow was declared a holiday for public and private sector ..

That's good.

Okay…

An indispensable part of our identity and character as Arabs is to honor our guests, even if we have a different point of view than theirs. What the western culture refers to as the 'gracious host' is nothing but an innate quality of us Arabs. Mind you, I think I have all the rights in the world at this moment, to boast about our hospitality and tolerance as Arabs, I may not have a better opportunity to do this again in the foreseeable future.

So here I extend a nonchalant welcome to his excellency Mr. George W. Bush, the president of the United State of America.

Tomorrow's speech of Bush will be expected to focus on key issues: economical growth and opportunity, peace and prosperity.
He's going to stress the importance of economical growth and promising developmental opportunities.
He will assert the linkage between peace, prosperity and economical growth.
Of course, he won't forget to highlight the importance of cooperation in an era where economical growth and opportunity are the defining elements of a platform where achieving peace and prosperity becomes a inevitable positive outcome.
....
He'll eventually underscore the urgency for economical growth, developments and opportunities.

.....

.....
On the day after tomorrow, we'll all be back to work…hopefully suffering severe fits of amnesia, for the good of mental health.

And the world is like an apple, whirling silently in space…..

....
When you knew that it was over
You were suddenly aware
That the autumn leaves were turning
To the colour of her hair
....

....
Like the circles that you find
In the windmills of your mind

A thought

It's amazing how much an innocent smile can do.
When I am lucky enough to be at the receiving end of those heavenly moments, I feel like my mind and soul have been wiped clean of all the worries and anxieties that had piled up during the day.

And by the way, I am not talking an 'I love you' smile, it's the 'I am enjoying your company' smile that set me free…

Oh Baby Baby, How Was I Supposed to Know?

Well, the law firm which used to represent her had ceased doing so after she'd become totally 'uncommunicative'.
She was threatened to lose her visitation right to her sons and she eventually lost them.
She locked herself in a room with one of the sons and was later taking forcibly to a hospital for an evaluation.
By the look on her face, she had either had a mental breakdown or an overdose of drugs.

What's happening to Britney? Are we watching another Anna Nicole Smith in the making?

I don’t usually follow celebrity gossips, but this story caught my attention for the morals it has; perhaps the lives of those Bill Air and Beverly Hills residents with all the riches they possess, is not all about fur and velvet.

Well, she may try to come and have a retreat in Dubai after all of this is over.

Drenched in Wine

Now I understand that some people are desperate for attention, but to wake up the National Comittee of Emergency Response in the midst of the new year's eave celebration, is a little bit over the top me thinks. Don't you agree?
